After your installation is complete, follow these steps to get all set-up:

  1. Go to Set-up > Customize > Home Page Layout > Edit
    1. Select the Sidebar Component named "Scheduled Report and Dashboards" for all active Home Page Layouts

  2. Go to your Documents folder and create a new folder named "Dashboard Images Folder Access to Read/Write and set access level to "This folder is accessible by all users"

  1. Go to the upper right navigation, just to the right of "Help" and click on the App drop-down list, then select "Report Scheduler". This should produce your new new Report Scheduler Tabs

  1. If you see a tab named "Scheduled Reports" Go to to Set-up > Create > Apps > Report Scheduler, then remove that tab, as it is no longer in use
  2. Next, click on the "Scheduler Settings" tab
  3. Fill out your settings page using these guidelines
    1. If you would like to prevent the Report Scheduler from sending empty reports, leave "Send Empty Reports" unchecked
    2. If you want to restrict all external email addresses and external domains, leave "Allow All External Domains" unchecked
      1. You can create exceptions to this rule by inserting your exceptions as Approved External Domains and/or Approved External Email Addresses
    3. If you set "Allow All External Domains" to "Checked", then you can also make exceptions to this rule by inserting email addresses and/or domains into the fields Blocked External Domains or Blocked External Email Addresses

  4. On the field "Use for" set to "Both Scheduled Reports and Dashboards"
  5. If you have more than 4,000 Reports in your org, set the field "Show Report Folders" as "Picklist", otherwise, if you have less then 4,000 reports, you can choose either option here
  6. On the field "Dashboard Image Folder select the folder you just created "Dashboard Image Folder"
  7. In the section labeled "Master Credentials to Refresh Reports", the only user who can insert their credentials here MUST have a standard Salesforce Profile "System Administrator"
    1. Do NOT append your password to the Security Token
    2. Any time the username, password or security token changes for the user credentials on this page, you must also make those change here
  8. If your org is using a custom domain for logging in to your Salesforce, org, please set Custom Domain Enabled to "Checked", and insert your full custom domain to the Custom Domain field, for example "
  9. The Reports Logo section is related to "PDF" output option. This section is optional
    1. For the Report Settings section, use the following values to define the table colors that will appear in the email body as HTML:
    2. Report Grid Background Color: #FFFFFF
    3. Report Grid Line Color: #EEEEEE
    4. Report Grid Header Color: #FFFFFF
    5. Report Grid Color: #000000
    6. Report Grid Header Background Color: #164169
  10. Click on "Save", then navigate to tab named Scheduled Reports - New to starting creating your first scheduled report
